This experience is a bit of a splurge (although I’ve been able to offer it to you at a lower price than you could get online!), which is why I’ve made it optional. But I have to say, I’ve done this sunrise hot air balloon ride 3 times before, and it’s always a highlight… truly a breathtaking bucket list experience to be floating peacefully over the Serengeti at sunrise, especially during Migration season with all the herds below!

You’ll have an early start & will drive to the launch site for tea/coffee/cookies. Last time we encountered a dozen lions & lion cubs on this early drive alone! The balloons launch just before sunrise and will take you across the savannas, rivers, marshes, and hills of the Serengeti where you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, herds of antelope and zebra, and if you’re really lucky — perhaps even a pride of lions, or a cheetah or leopard on the prowl.

After the balloons land, you’ll enjoy a champagne toast in the bush, followed by a beautiful & delicious plated breakfast in the bush, which is a really special experience in itself. Then have a leisurely game drive to spot more animals (from the ground) on your way back to camp.
