DAY 2 (April 9): Amman

Morning drive to Jerash to wander one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world—often referred to as the “Pompeii of the East,” with its oval plaza, colonnaded streets, ancient theaters, and intricate mosaics. After a delicious lunch, we’ll return to Amman with time to rest, visit the markets, or wander along Rainbow street, before a golden hour visit to the Citadel overlooking the Roman Theater. Jordanian dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 (April 10): Amman — Dead Sea — Wadi Mujib — Dana BIOSPHERE RESERVE

Morning drive to Wadi Mujib to hike through the beautiful and action-packed slot canyon. After the hike, we’ll take a quick dip in the Dead Sea, then enjoy lunch at a local farm & women’s coop. In the afternoon, we’ll continue on to the Dana Biosphere Reserve where we’ll check into our mountain cabins and enjoy sunset and a delicious dinner.

DAY 4 (April 11): Dana BIOSPHERE RESERVE

After breakfast, we will hike through Wadi Ghuweir, soaking in the scenery of palm groves, slot canyon walls, and trickling rivers. Along the way we will stop for a picnic lunch, and complete our hike at our eco-lodge, which has received awards as one of the best eco resorts in the world. Enjoy sunset views over the mountains, a candlelit dinner, a bedouin stargazing session, and a special guided meditation to unwind from the day.

DAY 5 (April 12): FEYNAN — PETRA

Sunrise hike (optional), breakfast, and a cultural experience to learn about the customs of from one of the last remaining bedouin communities in Jordan. We’ll learn to how to cook traditional Jordanian bread, and roast Arabic coffee. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Petra, with stops for panoramic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. After checking into our hotel, we’ll head into the desert for a very special dinner (I won’t spoil the surprise!), followed by an unforgettable night seeing Petra by candlelight.

Day 6 (April 13): PETRA

We’ll rise early to enter Petra through a lesser-known back entrance, to avoid the crowds and see a quieter side of Petra that most tourists miss. From there, we’ll spend the day exploring the caves, royal tombs, ancients temples, and hidden walkways of this incredible city that has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was also the setting for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (amongst other films). Lunch will be served in a bedouin cave, and dinner at a gorgeous heritage restaurant to learn the history of some favorite regional dishes.

Day 7 (April 14): PETRA — WADI RUM

You won’t want to sleep in this morning, as we will have a special sunrise tea with one of the best views in all of Petra! Afterward, we’ll head south into the otherworldly landscapes of Wadi Rum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its vast red sand valleys and towering sandstone mountains. We’ll set out on a guided desert tour — discovering arches, canyons, and ancient petroglyphs etched into the rock — and watch the breathtaking Wadi Rum sunset from a viewpoint in the dunes, before then make our way to camp. Tonight we sleep in a luxury desert bubble tent — complete with luxurious beds, hot showers, and a dinner feast.

Day 8 (April 15): WADI RUM

Awake early to see the sunrise over Wadi Rum from the sky, in a hot air balloon! After breakfast, we’ll venture deeper into the protected desert for our private wild camp — an exclusive Wayfaress experience far from any other visitors. Our Bedouin team will set up a minimalist camp among sandstone cliffs, where we’ll make a fire, drink tea, eat homemade maqluba and flatbread, and reconnect with the quiet of the desert. This is a grounding, once-in-a-lifetime night you’ll never forget, falling asleep with nothing but the fresh desert air and the Milky Way glittering above.

Day 9 (April 16): WADI RUM — Aqaba

In the morning we’ll visit a women’s co-op in the nearby village and have breakfast. Then it’s time to say goodbye to the desert and make our way to the coastal town of Aqaba, Jordan’s window to the Red Sea. Today we’ll trade the pink mountains and red desert for turquoise water — a private boat day with stops for snorkeling & diving over coral reefs. Fresh seafood lunch served onboard, with plenty of time to swim, enjoy the sunshine, and unwind after an epic & action-packed week. Return to shore to freshen up at the hotel, before enjoying one last sunset together by the sea and a final group dinner to toast our adventure.

Day 10 (April 17): Aqaba DEPARTURES OR OPTIONAL EXTENSION

Transfers provided to King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) in Aqaba. You also have the option to extend your stay at our hotel in Aqaba for 2 nights, to enjoy decompression time with our group together without an itinerary — I highly recommend joining us if you’re able!

This is a completely customized itinerary created by me :) — and I guarantee you won’t find this trip offered anywhere else online. It’s a one-of-a-kind Wayfaress Adventure combining ancient wonders, desert magic, and meaningful connections with the locals I’ve met along my travels. Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen & crafted from my own experiences exploring Jordan firsthand.

I’m so excited to be able to offer this journey at an accessible price point — especially considering the caliber of accommodations, experiences, and logistics included.

This trip is perfect for:

FLIGHT INFORMATION

The international airports for this trip are Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman and King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) in Aqaba.

ARRIVAL FLIGHTS:

You’ll want to arrive in Amman by afternoon on April 8, 2026 (Day 1 of the trip). We’ll have our welcome dinner on the evening of April 8, so please plan flights that allow you to arrive in time to join! If your only option is a late-night arrival that day, no problem — we’ll still pick you up at the airport, and you can meet the group the next morning before we begin exploring.

Extra nights at our Amman hotel will be available on April 7 for anyone arriving early (there is an additional cost for this extra night, as it’s not included in the trip price). If you wish to arrive early please let me know as soon as possible — this is a good idea if you want to catch up on sleep, adjust from jetlag, and have time to explore Amman on your own before the trip officially starts.

DEPARTURE FLIGHTS

At the end of the trip, group airport transfers will be provided to King Hussein International Airport (AQJ) in Aqaba on April 17, 2026.

You also have the option to extend your stay in Aqaba for an additional 1 night to decompress together at our seaside hotel — with no rigid itinerary, but plenty of time to relax, swim, head out on snorkeling and diving excursions, enjoy good food and each other without a schedule. I highly recommend it if your schedule allows, as I’ll be there and would love to spend more time with you! Departures out of Aqaba Airport are included in the extension price.

If you prefer to fly out of Amman (AMM) instead, I can help arrange a private or shared transfer from Aqaba back to Amman at an additional cost.

VISAS FOR JORDAN

Most nationalities require a visa to enter Jordan, but the process is very simple — and in most cases, you can obtain one online in advance through the Jordan Pass program.

The easiest option is to purchase a Jordan Pass at www.jordanpass.jo, which waives your visa fee (if you purchase this on arrival in Jordan, you have to pay your visa fee additionally). The pass also includes entry to Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash, and over 40 other sites, and is the more efficient way to gain entry to many sites in Jordan.

You’ll need to buy a Jordan Explorer Pass which is valid for 2-day entry to Petra and costs about 106 USD. This should be purchased online before arrival (it’s linked to your passport), then download or print the QR code, and present it when entering Jordan and at included attractions.

For travelers whose nationality does not qualify for a visa on arrival, an E-Visa can also be applied for directly through the official Jordanian Ministry of Interior website.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your entry date.

For more information and to check whether your country requires a visa in advance, visit the official site: www.jordanpass.jo or the Jordanian Ministry of Interior’s visa portal.
